Oil Stocks: Jean-Francois Tardif

Jean-Francois Tardif, portfolio manager, Sprott Asset Management

DELTA PETROLEUM (TSE:DPTR): we are still a major shareholder, continue to like it a lot..we own large percentage of firm..we believe in Columbia River Basin play..lot of gas in place, now question is how much it will cost to produce, what flow rate and value of each well will be..still unknowns..stock has had huge run, we are very bullish obviously

FALCON OIL & GAS (CVE:FO): very large gas play in Hungary, waiting for more information..what are the economics? Will find out over time..kind of risky situation but upside very high

TALISMAN ENERGY (NYSE:TLM TSE:TLM): stock is not going anywhere by chart..large established gas producer, very cheap..I do not know management very well, there is no reason not to own..not the type of stock to buy at Sprott because of size but fine holding to have

PETROBANK ENERGY (TSE:PBG): mostly oil, new technology to get heavy oil out of ground..if it works, this company could be a lot more than it is trading at, but if it does not, could be worth lot less..if you are willing to take risk

UTS ENERGY (TSE:UTS): good thought because if you look at all the problems in the world..Russia, Venezuala..Canada is probably one of the best places to go..I would expect more takeover in 2007..UTS, WESTERN OIL SANDS (TSE:WTO), NEXEN INC (NYSE:NXY TSE:NXY), OPTI (TSE:OPC)..I personally prefer near-producers..OPTI and WTO

SUNCOR (NYSE:SU TSE:SU): large-cap oil and gas producer, also oil sands project..great holding for large-cap in Canada

TOP PICK RALLY ENERGY (TSE:RAL): we owned it since $1.50..main reason that we owned it before and still owning it is rapid production and reserve growth..go up to 7000 barrels in 2007..management is conservative, we think all numbers will be beaten..I bought more 2-3 weeks ago at $3.50
