Oil Stocks: Glenn MacNeill

Glenn MacNeill, vice president of investments, Sentry Select

On Oil:

Just about to head into shoulder season, emphasized by warm weather..quiet period right now..longer term we believe we will have shortages in natural gas and crude oil..OPEC has indicated that they have already had production restrictions in place, talking about more but general consensus in market is that they will hold off for now..geopolitical surprises still out there, Iran, Nigeria, Venezuala all are large oil producers and making new lately, hard to say what is the premium is

On Energy Stocks:

Think will be fairly quiet over next couple of months, presents buying opportunity to astute investors..we continue to run out of natural gas, find more and more uses..oil over long run we continue to use more and more in developing world and North America in a world where production is declining..prices will need to restrict demand, causing higher prices, but not in next 2-3 months
